Xingyuan Special Chemical Building Materials Sales Office, Lujiang County, Anhui Province, is located in Lujiang Alum Mine, known as the "Alum Capital of China." The area is rich in mineral resources. According to the National Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources, the reserves of alum are estimated at 200 million tons, iron ore at around 300 million tons, and kaolin and dickite at around 35 million tons. Soft kaolin accounts for about 30%, and it has advantages such as low levels of harmful components (iron and titanium) and good stability. The content of kaolin, dickite, and alumina reaches 18%-25% or more. It has wide applications, mainly used as a filler in papermaking, coatings, enamel, paints, plastics, and pesticides; granulation of compound fertilizers; and as a main raw material for ceramics, glass fiber, crucibles, artificial molecular sieves, refractory materials, rubber tire reinforcing wear-resistant agents, and white cement. Alum is mainly used in the refining of natural alum, concrete expansion agents, crack-resistant and waterproof agents, early-strength anti-freezing crack agents, quick-setting agents, and cement grinding aids and reinforcing agents.
